As the Sr. Web Developer for this publishing company, I was involved in most aspects of the site's design and code. A few notable examples include:
Advertising Page Sitelet – This sitelet was designed for use with iUniverse's various PPC and print campaigns.
Authors in the News – Coded from scratch in PHP/mySQL, this module sported a public front-end (including robust archiving and AJAX calls to the bookstore) and a private back-end for authors to submit/manage their news items and administrators to review/post the items.
Promotion Banners – During a spell when iUniverse was without a graphic designer, I developed a number of monthly promotion banners: Warm Up, March Madness, Spring Savings, May Day Savings, and Premier Pro Intro.
Note: After iUniverse was merged with AuthorHouse, the site was redeveloped by the new owners. As time permits, I'll duplicate some of the code locally. However, the Authors in the News module had multiple connections to their Oracle catalog and customer DB, so it's unlikely that I'll ever fully duplicate it.
